I. Solutions Sales Training—NEW!

II. Products
Product Update — New iShaper SKUs and changes to iShared & iShaper pricing — NEW!
Packeteer is changing the pricing structure of the iShaper and iShared products to respond to customer and partner feedback, and to simplify the pricing structure. This change will also make iShapers more price competitive on lower speed WAN links.
The following are the changes in the iShaper and iShared product offering,
1. New link speeds on the iShaper (2Mbps, 25Mbps)
2. Removal of the 300GB and 600GB Workgroup editions for the iShaper
3. Simplify iShaper and iShared SKUs by eliminating user licenses on both the iShaper and the iShared products
4. An increase in the price of iShared appliances and FlexInstall

Third Party Performance Benchmark-iShaper — NEW!
Earlier this year, Network World conducted a WAN Optimization Test comparing the Riverbed, Cisco, Bluecoat and Silverpeak products. The testing was performed in the March/April timeframe, and Packeteer chose not to participate, as we were anticipating the release of our new iShaper product in June.
In response to that we asked Miercom, a third party testing vendor, to conduct a suite of tests on iShaper and create a Summary Report from the results of testing. The rigorous tests measured the improvement in application performance that was delivered by the iShaper over a variety of network conditions. We didn't ask Miercom to perform tests above the rated optimized throughput (10Mbps at the time of testing), or specific features, such as HTTPS acceleration, that are not supported. We also had them perform additional tests that highlighted areas that we exceed our competitors' capabilities.
This five page report can be used for the purpose of sales and marketing. It clearly and concisely details the salient features of the product and reflects the outcome of the tests.

IV. Sales Tools
PacketMall Changes — NEW!
On October 1, 2007 Marketing will be rolling out Phase 1 for the new PacketMall program. The improvements taking place at this stage are designed to improve the user interface portion, allowing for easier site and product navigation. An ordering page format versus the current shopping cart setup will be used allowing you to see all items and order quantities.
On November 1, 2007 we will roll out Phase 2 with changes to the promotional item ordering and purchasing function. Stay tuned for more details.

VI. Training
Packeteer Certification — New!
From now through December 31, 2007, Packeteer is pleased to offer free certification exam to students who complete a Packeteer Specialist, Advanced Traffic Analysis and Troubleshooting, or a PacketShaper Bootcamp instructor-led course. Students who complete a course during this time period will be given a voucher to enable them to take the corresponding certification exam at NO COST.
Promotion Terms:
- Limit of one certification voucher per student/per class. Vouchers are non-transferable.
- Vouchers are only redeemable at an Enlight Authorized Testing Center (not valid for Internet-Based Testing).
- Vouchers are only valid for a 90-day period from date of issuance.
- This promotion applies to students who attend training hosted by Packeteer or a Packeteer Authorized Training Center.
Mobiliti Training
The "Mobiliti Support and Troubleshooting" Web-based training course is now available. This is a free course and can be found at Packeteer Training.
iShaper Training
